Air Ambulance Flight Safety

AirCARE1™ assures a seamless transition between the point of origin and destination utilizing Lear 35As. Typically, patient safety and comfort is best served at jet aircraft speeds for air ambulance flights over 500 miles or when speed is of the utmost necessity.

Pilot Requirements

• Air Transport Pilot (ATP) Certified
• Highest FAA pilot certification
• Lear Jet Type Rating
• Annual flight simulator training
• Requalification checkrides every six months (Captains)
• AirCARE1™ proprietary training specific to medical transportation

Aircraft - Learjet 35A

• Range: 2125 nautical miles (nm) - Allowing non-stop travel almost anywhere in North America.
  We do not use Lear 24s or Lear 25s since their ranges are 1100 nm and 1200 nm respectively, requiring additional fuel stops and longer transit times for the patient.
• Ability to land at smaller airports providing closer access to the patient
• Equipped with the FAA mandated Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM)
  This allows our aircraft to fly above 29,000 ft. Many air ambulance aircraft have not made this modification, reducing aircraft range requiring additional fuel stops and exposing patients to increased turbulence and unfavorable weather conditions.
• A 36-inch cabin door vs. a 24-inch standard executive door. The larger door makes loading and unloading easier on the patient.
• Significantly lower cabin noise level
• The interior cabin is meticulously cleaned after each and every flight
